This tear ruler by Fiskars is a go-to tool in my shop. The ruler has a zig zag design (large and small) or a wave design (large and small). Just lay the ruler on top of your paper and carefully begin tearing. The torn paper edge will be "perfectly" torn. These rulers are made from metal so may also be used with your metal cutting blade as well. This is an extremely useful tool!
